In total freedom, Jean-Claude Gallotta revisits The Nutcracker, Tchaikovsky’s immortal piece. The playful spirit and inimitable style of the world-class choreographer illuminate this performance. To the sound of the music of the great Russian composer, eight dancers play a bunch of children, displaying a free, joyful and vigorous momentum. At the intersection of classical and contemporary styles, Un Casse-Noisette rejects clichés to reinvent the way we perceive the famous Christmas tale and perpetuate its fantasy.
